What to Expect: The original of the two courses at Gold Mountain, the Cascade course is shorter than its sister course and not nearly as busy. The course screams Pacific Northwest as there are seemingly as many trees as there are blades of grass throughout the routing. The back nine features more elevation changes than the front with the climax coming at the larger than life 609 yard par five 15th hole that tumbles down over 100 feet from tee to green. The course provides an enjoyable walk as the towering evergreens provide ample shade throughout much of the day. While the Cascade is certainly less impressive than the Olympic course, the Cascade provides a solid golf experience in a less hectic atmosphere at a more affordable rate.
